I have two short videos that were recorded during a BodhranWeekend. The lesson included the simulation of drum kit beats on the bodhran. In the basic rhythm the 1 is on a low beat (bass drum) and the 3 on a higher beat (snare dum). For the bass you give a lot of space on the skin while for the snare beat you move your hand up above the middle and hit the skin above this hand. If you are using hotrods you get a snare-like sound. The videos show two variations of this pattern:
Variation 1: In every second bar, not only the one is abass note, but also the 4 before that 1....Variation 2: This time, we move the bassy 1 to the 2. Again in every second bar.
