Workshops

All workshops cater for beginners and advanced players, we will divide the group into different levels. After a short introduction the techniques of bodhran playing are introduced, but also the role of the drum and how to play together in a session will be addressed. Structures in irish traditional music and accompaning patterns are part of the course. Soundsamples will help to understand the different rhythms in irish traditional music and different bodhran styles are demonstrated.
The BodhranWeekends are a great meeting point for bodhran players from all over Europe. Apart from qualified lessons you also have the chance to try out (and buy) accessories and a lot of bodhrans by different makers.
