Your individual bodhrán
The online tool allows you to choose from nine different categories including type of skin, tuning rim, frame depth and inner and outer frame design. The selection of designs is constantly being expanded and new woods added.
Or you can design your bodhrán completely individually at home. Choose the option: natural beech and finish the frame according to your wishes.
All your wishes are also covered when it comes to the skin: various natural skins and a synthetic skin are available.
There is even a vegan option, where not only the skin, but also the glue and wax are processed without animal components!
The bodhrán of your dreams
All drums feature the multi-point tuning system with its smooth-running and easy-to-access star grip knobs allowing for precise and fast tuning without any extra tools.
Design your own dream bodhrán from different drumheads, tuning rims, frame designs, and decorative ribbons. Your order is sent straight to Christian's workshop and immediately goes into production. You can also choose to receive real-time pictures of the production process.
All bodhráns ordered through the Express ConfigurHEDor are coming with a diameter of 37 cm and the ChangeHED and isolatHED systems:
The Optimal sound
With the isolatHED technology all contact points of the tuning screws are decoupled acoustically. This means the outer frame, which is in contact with the player’s body, holds the drum skin, and supports all components of the tuning system and the tuning rim, which takes the sound off the drum skin like a pickup or a bridge, are totally separeted.
As a result, the brilliance of sound is significantly improved, and the frequency spectrum becomes much more homogeneous.
Change head and tuning rim
The RWEchange offers the CHangeHED skin holding system. which allows to easily change the head and the tuning rim of the drum. This opens a lot of new possibilities: Quickly try out other heads and tuning frames with different sound characteristics? A synthetic head for the outdoor gig? Christian Hedwitschak offers a great variety of tuning rims and skin types on his website, which all fit on the ChangeHED system. These offer a lot more future possibilities for all customers.

- The quick delivery and the reasonable price despite individual production can only be acomplished with the options given in the ExpressConfigurHEDor and with a diameter of 37 cm.
- With it's compact dimensions, a 37cm bodhrán is very accesible, even for smaller players. But then I am 6'6" tall and play a 37cm drum myself. Less travel for my skin hand and an even more compressed sound.
